Remembering the snow


The last two months have reminded many of us of winters past – at least for those of us old enough to remember.

With snow still appearing from time to time, I couldn’t resist including a few more shots.

My well-thumbed first edition (1973) copy of the ‘AA Book of the British Countryside’, reliably informs me that: ‘Shropshire people believed that milk drunk from an ivy-wood cup cured whooping cough.’
